Our Reviews
What an excellent dining experience! It’s good to have such a pleasant place to eat in northwest Indiana. Our waitress Mariah was amazing. Even with a pretty full section, she didn’t lack top quality service! I had the lamb chops and my wife had the chicken and both were extremely tender and delicious. We will definitely be making a trip again soon!

We love their dinner but we truly make a point to go in for brunch on Sunday’s which people still haven’t caught onto yet. The food and service is always outstanding and it’s really a nice change from your usual bacon, eggs, pancakes, etc. The coffee drinks are really great and this is now our favorite spot for breakfast after church. Our favorites are the gyro omelette and gyro Benedict, but we’ve yet to have something we didn’t like. Also the goat toast or the feta and honey are must haves!

NISI is one of the best restaurants I’ve ever had the pleasure to dine at! The service was absolutely top notch and I never had a need to want. The Food well my best words are “off the chain amazing “! I’m Greek and I’m always a bit gun shy when places say they do Greek food! NISI for me was like being at my Yiayia house when I was a kid. Everything was fresh and just unbelievably AMAZING! I will admit that it’s a little pricey but well worth it and the portions were more the generous. This restaurant is a must for the best Greek experience! Thanks NISI for such a wonderful night of Dining.

This is becoming one of my favorite restaurants. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and the food and drinks are delicious. Our Server Alexis made sure to take complete care of us without intruding and I highly recommend her and NISI. Today we just went for appetizers and drinks, the last time I had the Lamb chops and they were as good as any I have ever had. Parking: Enter from US 30 and exit to Janice drive where there is a stop light if you are heading East on US 30.

We chose this beautiful venue for our niece's bridal brunch and we could not be more pleased! The room was arranged and prepped when we arrived. The food was delicious--and it was a ton of food, served perfectly on schedule. Our guests were surprised every time more food came to the table! The service was excellent and staff were quick to respond to every request. We had 31 people in our group. I highly recommend Nisi for showers and parties of 30-50 guests.

Amazing experience. The food was delicious. The service was even better than the food. Our wait staff was attentive and friendly but didn't hover while we were eating. Their wine recommendation was spot-on. The baklava cheese cake just pushed me over the edge at the end. I could barely walk out of there because I was so full. Thanks for a wonderful evening.

The food here is incredible - as someone who has family in Greece it felt amazing to see a family-owned location put out super fresh + authentic food! The interior is also just gorgeous, and so detail-oriented who can really see how much love they put into making sure each diner feels special. I would note that on Mother's Day when I went most recently, there was a pretty long wait to get food for my family in between each order. If there is a system to space our reservations on holidays, that may help NISI manage the influx of eager diner's coming through.

Stopped here on a road trip, wow! First off Alexis is absolutely an amazing gem and helped us out big time, from guiding us through the menu to making is the best iced coffees to go -literally ever!!!- The food is phenomenal, octopus was the best I've ever had. Don't skip the baklava cheesecake, impossible to disappoint! Everything here is on point, the amazing and friendly service set it over the top! I hope to return one day soon! Vegetarian options: The Orzo is next level!

Fantastic dining experience in an unassuming location! We had 4 people and ordered 3 shareables and 3 entrees to share and that was more than enough to eat with leftovers. The food was fantastic! Everything was super flavorful and the presentation was very good. I low key loved the colors and style of their tableware and cocktail glasses. Service was very attentive. I noted we were celebrating a birthday in our reservation and was pleasantly surprised they took it into consideration. Lovely experience overall!

This has quickly become my favorite restaurant in Northwest Indiana! The food was absolutely delicious. Large portions, great flavors, and an expansive menu with something for everyone. The service was great. I have a food allergy, and they were extra careful to check ingredients and make sure everything I ordered was okay for me to eat. Our waitress was helpful, knowledgeable of the menu, and friendly. The atmosphere was great. You can tell they put a lot of attention into the details of the space. Even when it got crowded, it wasn’t too loud. I recommend the “Hey Honey” cocktail. It had just a touch of spice and sweetness and was a great summer drink. I also recommend the zucchini chips as an appetizer. Great texture and flavor! Make sure you get the baklava for dessert! Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating for those with food allergies. Parking: Parking directly behind the restaurant.

First time dining at Nisi for Father's Day and it was Lovely. I had the chicken souvlaki and my dad had the mousaka, and of course we also had the saganaki and skordalia to start. And then the baklava cheese cake ..to die for! The food was delicious, great portion sizes, our waiter, Demetrios, was awesome, and the vibe was perfect. Like Down Town Chicago Greek Town but right down the road, without the hassle of driving to the city and dealing with terrible parking. The decor was beautiful and the Greek Music was a nice touch. I think the prices are reasonable for the amount of food given and the QUALITY. Prepared with love like any Yiayia or Nounno would do for their families. We will be back and I will be telling all my friends to go soon.

This is LONG overdue, but thank you to all of the team at Nisi for an amazing baby shower! Manny and crew (behind bar, kitchen, wait staff) were all amazing. I had multiple compliments from my guests on how accommodating and kind the team was! The chef was fabulous and cooked amazing food, my guests still talk about going back/revisiting for the food and drinks. The atmosphere is great, music was on point for occasion, and the overall look of the restaurant makes you feel like you are not in NWI anymore- it’s fabulous. This place is a GEM, so happy I live so close to it. 😉

This was my first time visiting this establishment (on 4/18/24) and from the moment we walked in I was thoroughly impressed. A beautiful interior from the ceiling to the floor. Thought was put into every detail. Down to the placemats on the table. The service was amazing. We went at 3pm when they opened and had a table reserved. The hostess (as well as our waitress - same young woman) was so pleasant and kind, wonderful humor and knowledgeable about the menu and even the background of the food we were asking about! They brought us fresh sets of silverware after our appetizer and were just on top of everything. I will be back. The food was as amazing as the service and ambience. I probably should have talked at length about that but I was so floored by everything else - the food ended up being the icing on the cake. We’re definitely coming back! Highly recommend and thanks Nisi.

Came here on mother's day with my wife and 3 girls. From the moment we walked in, everyone was so friendly, even the owner came by several times to see how we were doing. The lamb chops were perfect and the kiddos enjoyed their pasta. Will definitely be back. Also enjoyed the ambience.

When you walk in the wait staff is very attentive and extremely polite. The atmosphere is wonderful, allows for conversation and quiet if you want. Being able to make reservations is always a plus. Then there is the food...SUBLIME!!!! Warm bread with hummus and/or veggies in a light oil is served right away. For entrees my husband had the Greek version of the lasagna (Pastitsio - Baked Pasta, Minced Beef, Béchamel, Graviera Cheese Gratin) and I had the filet mignon (Moshari Souvlaki) with pita, fries and Tzaziki. The Tzaziki spread was so very good and the filet cooked to perfection! The Pastitsio was warm, cheesy and melted in your mouth. As foodies, we will most definitely be returning and highly recommend!

Now who knew you could find upscale Greek food in NWI? Needed a spot to meet a friend that was convenient and accessible. Easy to park, Modern decor, craft cocktails, excellent attentive service, and good food. I cannot compare the dishes to any other as I have never been to a Greek restaurant before but I left full and satisfied. It was tough to choose at first until our server told us that it was 1/2 off appetizers. So. We turned it into a tapas joint and ordered 4 to share. The dolmades were my favorite. Served bite sized and warm. I’m used to them bigger and being chilled from middle eastern restaurants. Then we decided to share the Pastitsio after my companion exclaimed “pasta at a Greek restaurant?” And I said I knew about that dish because I get it from the grocery store hot bar and I like it. I like it at NISI too. Overall I would return to try some other dishes. If you’re ever in the area it’s worth a visit.
