Had the seafood pasta and a few dips. Everything was delicious and made in house. Including the watermelon popsicle in my drink. Great service and a good vibe. Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely Perfect! The fish and lamb shanks were delicious and large portions. The humus and horta (a green vegetable) were very authentic. The baklava was the best I have ever had anywhere in Greece or Turkey. Excellant value and Marcus gave us excellent service. We will be back soon!

Very good seafood. We had the mixed plate and it was delicious. I wish they had booths.Update June 2026: we tried other dishes. Food is still good. Prices are crazy.

Great food. Just as with most places right now it is expensive. $200 for two people with tip, but we did eat well. Loved the ice cream.

Had a wonderful first experience at Nisi today. Our server, Effie (hope I'm spelling her name right), was incredibly friendly, gave us great suggestions and provided excellent and attentive service 😀 We shared the saganaki appetizer and the village salad, which was a huge portion and so fresh and delicious! For the main course, my husband had the seafood pasta...it was incredible with this unique ouzo fennel cream sauce, and the seafood was cooked to perfection. I had the traditional Greek Mousaka - it was superb! The bechamel sauce was to die for....if I had been eating this in the privacy of my own home, I would have licked the dish clean 😆

Holy crap !!! This place was friggin amazing . Blows Greek town in the city out of the water . Super cool vibe and food is next level . Hope recommend .

I saw this place out of the corner of my eye while driving and decided to stop and give it a try because it just looked beautiful.Well, I’m glad I stopped to eat here, the food was absolutely delicious and it so happened to be Tuesday when you can get appetizers for half the price. I tried five different ones and had about half left overs and the bill was super inexpensive. Bridgette was really nice helping me what to choose to eat, her recommendations were spot on.

The best in the middle of nowhere food ive ever had! This place is unassuming but the food is absolutely top tier. The service is excellent from the host to the waiter. They take great care of you, give recommendations, and are super friendly. The chicken is cooked to perfection and the drinks were fantastic. Great for a date night, family night or just a solo dinner. 10/10 highly recommend.

Service was amazing, came in at 8:20 pm they close at 10. Obviously we didn’t want to be those people. (As I work in the industry) Dimitri(hopefully I’m spelling this name right) Was fanatic given the circumstances, he went above and beyond for my anniversary. Extremely great, from the service to the food. Will be back and will be requesting our friend Dimitri. Thank you again for an amazing anniversary.

What an incredible experience, the meals were authentic and incredible. The deserts were second to none. The drinks were made with perfection.

I almost don't want to leave this review because getting a table here is still easy - and I don't understand why! We have been here twice and the food is amazing. The salmon was perfectly cooked, the lamb was delicious, the whole sea bass was amazing. But, the Mediterranean bruschetta - it was one of those dishes you talk about for years. I could eat it everyday. Not your stereotypical bruschetta - more like an Italian bread. I didn't expect to get wowed by bruschetta, yet here I am. Cocktails were delicious as well. Lovely inside, also has outdoor dining.

Overall, would highly recommend and I’ll be back. The food was fantastic and it’s a nice vibe inside; great balance of relaxed but lively. I had the lamb shank and would recommend 10/10 times. The service was slightly slower than we would’ve liked, but we were there at peak dinner hour on a Friday so it’s hard to ding them for it. All of the staff were extremely friendly and accommodative. Looking forward to coming back.

This place was absolutely amazing! We went on our anniversary and Adam took amazing care of us and he ensured we had a meal that was more delicious than we have had in a long time. Great food, great wine—life giving meal! Highly recommend!

My most recent bday from a long life was celebrated at this new spot for us.we had an excellent evening.Bridget was our waitress at tne bar.We will do that again.Our meals were great,the drinks solid.One of my fav bdays ever.Nice start to a new age.

Had the Greek style ribs and chicken kabob and they were so delicious 😋. The food is so amazing! Our server was very attentive and informative with our request and very friendly. Had a small mix up with one of our guests food getting delivered to the wrong table but they corrected it immediately. Can't wait to go back.

Absolutely amazing - on all fronts. The lamb chops were perfectly grilled, thick and juicy. Our waitress, Bridget, was incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and attentive. The atmosphere was sophisticated and charming. We were traveling with our pup and they allowed the three of us to sit on the patio. What a special treat in Indiana! My husband and I would give Nisi 10+ stars if we could.

I have been searching for a good Seabass ever since I had it in Croatia. FINALLY found a place that is comparable.

Food was amazing. Salad was great. Greek sausages keftedes were different and tasty. Non traditional Greek food. Removed a star because the spanokopita sticks tasted kinda burnt. But we ordered tapas style and 3 of the 4 items we ordered were great!

I don’t remember the last time I enjoyed a date night with hubby this much! I mean literally everything was 10/10. We were driving by couple weeks ago and the place caught my eye, not sure why this never popped up on google when I searched restaurants in the area. Hidden gem! We generally love Greek food, and a lot of places are as cute and vibey as this one, but the food is mediocre or bland… Not Here!!!! I’m too lazy to write more details, but the comp hummus for sharing, sanagaki app, and 2 entrees , the first lamb dish, can’t remember the name, and filet mignon were all perfect, I don’t know what else to say lol. But it gets better…. 1/2 off wines on Wednesdays… and the waitress let us sample a few before we settled on one of the whites, I’ll attach a pic. More on the service, Melissa was one of the most welcoming and pleasant servers I’ve ever interacted with! It was our first time here so she went over the menu and wine pairings in a quick but very concise way that was actually helpful, although I looked at the menu a few times before coming hahah . I also enjoyed the Greek music playing in the background at a very fitting sound level that added to the ambiance. Plus, it wasn’t too busy and I don’t know if they did that on purpose, but the seating arrangement was perfect , like some places will sit all the tables kinda next to each other on slower nights, which I get why.. but here everyone was very nicely spread out, which made the atmosphere very relaxed and they got decent sized place! Curious if they built the restaurant from ground up or remodeled something that was there already. I honestly don’t even pay so much attention to all these seemingly small things but everything just felt so well thought out in this place. I didn’t even mention the interior and decor yet, I mean wow… love love love!!!! Last but not least… my incredible H let me yap all evening and also had zero complaints about anything 🙂

Had an incredible dining experience this evening. I went there with a group and we gave the staff the reigns on choosing the menu and that was a great decision. The manager Manny catered the “Nisi experience” for us. He brought out amazing appetizers and entrees that everyone loved. Service and food were on another level. My favorite place in northwest Indiana.

Maybe my favorite sit down restaurant in the region. Greek food done well all the way around. Village Greek salad is perfect on a hot summer day, had the surf and turf this time and the steak was actually medium rare. Normally I feel like I need to order my steak rare for it to turn out medium rare. Well executed, will be back next date night.

The food here is so very outstanding. Came on eve of Father's Day. Grouper, dolmades, lamb shank, lobster, potatoes, baklava were all out of this world delicious. Waiter was patient and so nice. I love, love, love this restaurant!!

My husband and I had a wonderful lunch date here. The owner checked in and made sure everything was to our liking. Our waitress was very attentive and they kept our waters filled. The ambience of the place was lovely and clean. I ordered the lamb chops, cauliflower purée and Greek fries. All of it was delicious. My husband had the lamb dish with orzo. He enjoyed his meal too. We ended with their chocolate cake which was good as well. We will definitely be back again. Thanks Nisi for such a lovely dining experience.

Everything was on point. First time dining here and won’t be the last. Lamb chops and sea bass were outstanding. Great flavor and prepared perfectly. Service was outstanding👍Nicely done!

Great 1/2 price appetizers on Tuesdays

Went in on a suggestion and wasn't disappointed! Waiter was a treat and food was excellent. We didn't know what many items were but the waiter did an amazing job suggesting and explaining.

Simply amazing experience. Been wanting to try it for a while. From ambience and decor to mocktails to entrees and dessert. Went for date night but also great for family with small kids. Servers and owners were very attentive even though restaurant was packed. Will be back soon.

Great Service and Food

What an excellent dining experience! It’s good to have such a pleasant place to eat in northwest Indiana. Our waitress Mariah was amazing. Even with a pretty full section, she didn’t lack top quality service! I had the lamb chops and my wife had the chicken and both were extremely tender and delicious. We will definitely be making a trip again soon!

We love their dinner but we truly make a point to go in for brunch on Sunday’s which people still haven’t caught onto yet. The food and service is always outstanding and it’s really a nice change from your usual bacon, eggs, pancakes, etc. The coffee drinks are really great and this is now our favorite spot for breakfast after church. Our favorites are the gyro omelette and gyro Benedict, but we’ve yet to have something we didn’t like. Also the goat toast or the feta and honey are must haves!

This place is an absolute gem. I’ve passed by 100 times. The name “Tavern” is a bit deceiving. It is a high end - high quality restaurant.

Food and service were beyond wonderful.
